What We Collect

IBHC gathers two types of information: personally identifiable data and anonymous tracking data.

Personally identifiable data is information collected voluntarily from the website’s contact form and includes name and email.

Please note, IBHC will never ask you for private or financial information via email, and contact will only come from info@indianabhc.org.

Anonymous tracking data, or “aggregate information,” may be automatically collected through your use of our website and interaction with our other digital communications. Examples of the data collected include the web browser and operating system you are using, your language, your location, the search terms you used to find our website, your browsing habits on our website, and whether you opened an email we sent you.

We may use browser cookies and tracking pixels to assist in obtaining this information. Most web browsers allow these technologies by default, though you may disable them if you wish. Please note that if you decline to accept browser cookies or delete previously existing cookies, you may not be able to access some features of our website.

More information about cookies can be found on www.allaboutcookies.org.

How Does IBHC Use This Information?
All collected data may be used by IBHC for any legitimate business purpose. The data that is collected through the site may be used in the following ways:

Communications: We may use your personal information to respond to your questions and comments. We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Requests: We use the information you provide about yourself when placing a request

The aggregate tracking information we collect through our website is used to better design our site. We analyze aggregate information to enhance website security and to track the popularity of certain pages of the site, the success of our email notifications, traffic levels on the site, and other usage data. All of this data helps us to provide content tailored to your interests, improve the site and related services, and otherwise enhance your experience on the site.

IBHC never uses or shares the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also allowing you to opt out.

Information Sharing
We may share your personally identifiable information with third parties if we have a good faith belief that access to or use of this information, or the preservation or disclosure of this information, is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service, including for investigation of possible violations; to detect, prevent, or otherwise remedy fraud, security threats, breaches, or other technical issues; and to prevent harm to the personal or property rights of IBHC, or other third parties, as permitted by applicable laws.

IBHC is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by third parties. To the extent that a third party processes your personal data as a data processor of IBHC, IBHC will conclude a processor agreement with such party that meets the requirements set out in the relevant laws and regulations. We will require that third-party processors agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy, the relevant laws and regulations, and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

European Union Rights
If you are a European Union resident, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct, or erase any personal information we have collected about you. You also have the right to data portability, and in some circumstances, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal information. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at email.

California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of your personal data. Please contact us at info@indianabhc.org for additional information about our compliance with this law or with questions or concerns regarding our privacy practices.

Our services are neither intended nor directed for use by children under the age of thirteen. IBHC does not knowingly accept, collect, maintain or use any information from any child under the age of thirteen, and if a child whom IBHC knows or suspects to be under the age of thirteen sends personal information to us online, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, notify the parents, or seek parental consent.
